Since the fall of the Soviet Union, the nationalisms of the former Soviet republics have increased while retaining a partly pro-Russian population. This situation leads to many tensions, particularly in the Caucasus region, where three of them (Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia) coexist with Russia in a conflictual way, all in an economically strategic space.
