Imperial China existed for more than two millennia. According to the various dynasties, the controlled territory grew under the successive impulses of the emperors. From the “historic China” of the Qin, to the borders of the Himalayas or Mongolia, via Korea, China has thus been able to assert its territorial and cultural domination over a large part of Asia.
